From 5 days to 10 minutes: an SEO Agent that builds data-driven content plans
On paper, scaling an SEO agency looks straightforward: pick trending topics, write articles, drive volume, keep customers happy.
In reality, the hard part is everything before the writing: finding content gaps, spotting duplicates and irrelevant pages, clustering topics correctly, and prioritizing what to ship first — without guessing.
We built an SEO Agent that crawls a website, connects to real SEO data via SEMrush, and produces a personalized content hierarchy + topic clusters + 6-month plan in minutes. It's automated, but not "LLM vibes": recommendations are grounded in actual keyword and difficulty data, with a clear human-in-the-loop review step.
"Vlad is an amazing developer that delivered extremely fast turnaround and was a pleasure to work with. It's hard to find developers that will think critically about your project and provide their suggestions, so Vlad was massively helpful in how we built out our AI tools."

To generate a personalized 6-month content plan
5x
Faster planning → higher margins + easier scaling
The problem:
The agency wanted to scale profitably, but their SEO planning process was too time-intensive and pulled senior strategists into repetitive work:
- •auditing existing content architecture
- •finding gaps, duplicates, and irrelevant pages
- •clustering topics and mapping a "should-be" hierarchy
- •pulling keyword difficulty / opportunity signals
- •converting all of that into a plan writers can execute
This made delivery slow, margins thin, and growth hard.
Their current approach:
For each client:
- 1.Manually review pages + site structure
- 2.Audit SEO fundamentals (H1/H2/H3, meta, intent alignment, internal links)
- 3.Research keywords and difficulty
- 4.Build topic clusters
- 5.Write up a 6-month plan + scope writers
Time cost: ~4–5 days per content plan.
The consequences:
- •Strategy became the bottleneck
- •Scoping stayed fuzzy → hard to staff writers confidently
- •Delivery timelines stretched → lower throughput per month
- •Scaling meant "add headcount," not "increase leverage"
The goal: turn days of manual SEO planning into a fast, repeatable, data-driven system — while keeping strategist judgment.
1. Crawl the website and map the real content inventory
The agent crawls the site to build an "as-is" picture:
- •all indexable URLs and paths
- •current hierarchy and category structure
- •patterns that signal intent (blog vs landing vs product/support)
- •basic on-page structure signals where available
This replaces hours of manual tab work.
2. Connect to SEMrush so the plan is grounded in real SEO data
Instead of letting an LLM "suggest topics," we wired the agent into SEMrush to pull actual signals:
- •keyword sets relevant to the site and its themes
- •difficulty / competition indicators
- •related queries and cluster candidates
- •opportunity areas and gaps
This is the difference between data-driven planning and "looks plausible" planning.
3. Generate topic clusters + a reviewed content hierarchy
Based on crawl + SEMrush data, the agent proposes:
- •pillar topics and supporting cluster pages
- •gaps to create, pages to consolidate, duplicates to resolve
- •recommended hierarchy and internal linking structure
- •page templates and structure guidance (H1/H2/H3 + meta direction)
So the agency gets an actual blueprint, not just a topic list.
4. Output a personalized 6-month plan that's immediately scopable
The agent generates a month-by-month plan:
- •prioritized topics by cluster and intent
- •what to publish first vs later (based on opportunity + fit)
- •enough structure to estimate effort and staff writers accurately
- •clear deliverables the team can execute quickly
5. Human-in-the-loop review to keep quality high
Strategists review and adjust:
- •priority ordering (business goals, seasonality, constraints)
- •cluster boundaries and intent nuances
- •edge cases where data needs context
Result: speed + consistency without sacrificing judgment.
Before
Every content plan took 4–5 days, kept strategists stuck in manual research, and capped growth.
After
The agency can produce a personalized, data-driven 6-month plan in ~10 minutes, then spend time where it matters: making smarter calls, refining strategy, and shipping faster.
Net result: a productized planning workflow that boosts margins and makes the agency far easier to scale.
